Caleb Lawson purchased Price Concrete Studio in 2013, after a brief stint managing the company in late 2012. Chuck Price, the former owner, had developed a reputation for quality work, and a list of exclusive and high end clients. With little knowledge on the intricacies of working with concrete, Caleb sought training from the best mind in this niche industry: Jeff Girard of The Concrete Countertop Institute.
Caleb and Jeff became friends over the years as Caleb was mentored by Jeff after completing CCI’s intensive “Ultimate Class” in 2013. In 2017, Caleb began assisting Jeff with CCI’s Ultimate classes. Ultimately (pun intended), he began hosting “Ultimate” at his studio in Orlando.
When Caleb moved his company to North Carolina, CCI moved all ultimate classes to the newly renamed “Lawson Design” studio space in Canton, NC.
Caleb has trained students alongside Jeff as well as Buddy Rhodes, and has worked with clients such as Disney, Universal, Ritz Carlton, and Fiocchi Group. He has developed a reputation for quality, high end work in both commercial and residential project spaces. He has developed his own, sought after techniques for marbled concrete and blending bold pieces with precious metals.
