Farm & Haus
We created the countertop of our dreams with Melissa Grace Designs for Farm & Haus
We created the terrazzo piece of our dreams for local designer Melissa Grace Designs!
When Melissa Grace Designs comes to you with a project in mind, you know you’re in for a treat! Melissa is such a joy to work with, and bringing her creative vision to fruition is always such a blast. So when she came to us about creating a piece for Farm & Haus (a healthy, delicious counter-serve eatery in East End market), we jumped right on board.
We knew this custom terrazzo piece needed to be totally unique, so we set out to planning and carefully placing each glass chip in precisely the right place. Even before the concrete was prepped, we were falling in love with the colors in this piece!
The first few steps in the process were, well messy, but we couldn’t wait to keep working and watch this beautiful piece emerge from the mess.
We love the design so much and were so excited with how the piece turned out! The only thing left to do was install, and step back and marvel at another great collaboration with Melissa Grace Designs! (Proud to be the Clint to your Joanna, Melissa!!)
You can go visit our piece at Farm and Haus and pick up some wonderful food while you’re there! Pretty sure terrazzo is our new favorite thing, what do you think?

Lauren Drum Coffee Table
We’ve crafted the perfect coffee table, if we do say so ourselves ;)
The perfect coffee table was right under our noses..
We love our original Lauren Drum! It’s versatile, it looks excellent outside as a poolside drink rest, inside as a decorative plant display, side table, or nightstand. We love it so much we decided to make a coffee-table sized version. It’s the best of both worlds. It has the same versatility as the original Lauren Drum, but its new dimensions open up a world of design opportunities.
Original Lauren Drum
New Coffee Table Sized Lauren Drum
As you can see the new size offers plenty of space for decor, even if you have to work around a small child!
It fit perfectly in it’s new home. It’s a bold statement piece with a high-end look! We are already pretty obsessed with this new style in case you couldn’t tell. What do you think??

How our family is committing to the life-long work of anti-racism
The deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and many others at the police's hands have sparked an outcry for justice. Protests are happening in all fifty states, and social media is flooded with an outpouring of support for Black Lives Matter. On Tuesday, June 2, millions of people posted black squares on Instagram in an attempt to show their solidarity. As white people, merely posting once when it's popular to do so isn't enough.
We know that real change begins in our homes, starts with us educating ourselves and educating our children. At Price Concrete Studio, family has always been our priority. Now, it is up to us to make sure our family continues the life-long work of anti-racism. We want to make sure our family is learning, growing, and contributing to creating a better, safer world for Black people.
Here are a few action steps we're committing to in our family, and we'd love it if you joined us! We have a long way to go, but with a little elbow grease, things will start to get better!
Children’s Books
We’re committing to making sure we educate our kids about racism, and amplify Black voices in our home. Here are a few books we’ve decided to start with:
Donations
We plan to donate 10% of any profit from our Lauren drum to Be The Bridge. We know donating is a great way to put our money where our mouths are so in addition to donating personally, we will be donating a percentage of our Lauren Drum profits for as long as it takes.
Personal Education
We can’t educate our kids without first educating ourselves. Here are a few resources we plan to start with as a family in order to better understand racism and our role in it.
There are so many more resources to dive into, but this is a just a starting place for us! We have been encouraged to treat this as a marathon and not a sprint.
Accountability
We know words have power, and so often we stand by and laugh off comments, or jokes in favor of not making things uncomfortable. It is our job to stand up for others and do what is right. That means being the person who says, "It's not okay to make comments like that" or "let's have a conversation about that." We commit to calling out racism in our families, in our friend circles, and ourselves, and we hope you will join us in doing the same in your circle.
Our church community at First Presbyterian Orlando participated in A Walk of Mourning and Restoration this past Friday with many other churches from our community. A few of our family members were able to attend and it was a very powerful experience for them and for us as we listened to their stories. We are proud to be part of a church community committed to taking on the hard stuff, and a church community that does not shy away from injustice, but comes together to stand in solidarity and in action.
Are there books, podcasts, or movies your family plans to work through? List them in the comments, let’s share some resources and do better together!
We Tried 'Piña Colada Milk Punch' At Home
Here’s how it went! (recipe inside)
Here’s how it went!
When we first saw this drink in PUNCHDRINK.com, we were slightly confused. I mean, it’s clear, it doesn’t look anything like a piña colada, but there was something about it, and we just needed to know for ourselves. The website claims this recipe takes all of the beachy summery elements of the original and transforms it into a drink you could sip by the fire. We were intrigued!
*both images via PUNCHDRINK.com
We took a look at the ingredient and instruction list and it definitely seemed like a lot of work for a drink. A cheese cloth? milk in a sauce pan?? But, we pressed on.
We gathered up the many needed ingredients and started the journey!
Here’s our mixture (pre-strain) taking the required 15 minute rest (what a diva) before it’s ready to be poured through the cheese cloth!
After mixing and straining the mixture through the cheese cloth, we had one pitcher full of pure golden liquid of the Gods! Time to give it the ole’ taste test!
It took only one sip to realize what all the fuss was about! This drink is heavenly. Not sure we could have predicted how good this would be, but as it turns out, the Piña Colada Milk Punch is definitely worth the trouble. Dig out that cheese cloth, and get to mixing!
What do you think? Ready to try it at home?? leave a drink you think we should try next in the comments!
Design Inspiration from Around The Web (Kitchen Edition)
Kitchen design goals!
A Few of Our Favorites
Kitchens have always been a big deal, but events of recent months *cough pandemic* have made them feel like an even bigger deal. I’m not too big on cooking, other than the occasional pasta I typically stick to the microwave or the take-out menu (healthy I know) but with more time at home many of us have had to make the reluctant move from the no cook zone. When you’re working from home, staying at home, and basically never leaving home you see a lot of your kitchen. This brings us to kitchen design. I’ve collected some inspiration from around the internet to inspire renovations small and large!
Everywhere you look online, it seems like pastel kitchens are having a moment. This light and airy house-boat kitchen uses pastels to make the room feel a little roomier and the design seems to fit naturally with the outside world surrounding their house (boat).
This kitchen uses an unexpected cut out in the design to lead into the living room and connect the space to the rest of the house. I love all the earthy tones & shapes here! (and of course we’re big fans of farm house sinks here at PCS!)
This kitchen design plays off of 70's style kitchens but brings elements from that time into our current trends. Instead of leaning on the darker colors of the past, it plays with color splashes but keeps it mostly light and open. It's a clean, modern take on 70's style when kitchen design got a little, well, weird.
Here are those pastels again! Blush seems to be the color that just won’t quit (in a good way). It first popped on the scene a few years ago. People started calling it ‘Millennial pink’ sometime around 2016. Scientists did studies to figure out why we’re all so obsessed with it, but the studies were inconclusive at best. We may never know why the world went nuts for this color for four years straight or why we’re still going nuts for it, but hey, it’s pretty! Let’s just hope that if one day blush goes wildly out of style, our kids will go easy on us.
We're seeing a lot of waterfall edges in modern kitchen design, and at PCS we love this trend! This one appears to be marble, but concrete is the perfect material for a stunning waterfall-edge island. Concrete is beautiful, easy to clean, and built to last. I'm just saying. This kitchen brings in some darker colors and relies mostly on clean lines and utility. Not a lot of knick-knacks here, but that's probably because the minimal design speaks for itself.
Open-concepts really seem to be the way of the future! This kitchen uses warm natural textures to create an inviting atmosphere. This looks like the kind of kitchen you could slip your shoes off and sit on the countertop sipping wine with your closest friends!
Whatever the future hold for kitchen design, if you can dream it, we can make it with concrete! Which of these kitchen designs do you like best?
Kitchen Island With a Design Surprise
We added a surprise element to our latest kitchen island project!
The Element of Surprise
We created a custom island with a special surprise design element built-in! We love it when we’re able to surprise our clients by adding in a little something special just for them. This island was crafted for Brianna Michelle Interior Design. She and her team are always so wonderful and supportive of our work, and we continuously strive to earn that support by delivering our absolute best.
We spent a lot of late nights pushing to get the project just right. Somewhere in the midst of burning the midnight oil, a stroke of inspiration struck! Some of the best ideas come in the middle of the night, after all. We wanted to add a surprise element to this island piece that wouldn’t be immediately visible but would add that little something extra to up-level our design.
The drawer of secrets
We soon realized that the drawer insert we built would provide the perfect avenue for our surprise element!
alchemy
We used a material called Plateall which for non-technical folks is basically like a metal material you can spray, pretty crazy stuff! We sanded it, and polished it but left a little texture in there for a funkier finish!
We couldn’t send the piece off without letting our trusty pup-inspector, Boone, give it the once-over. Once Boone gave us the paw of approval, it was time to deliver the piece to Brianna and her team! We hope they’ll enjoy it for many years to come.
P.s. what do you think of our brass-plated drawer? Let us know in the comment section :)
Conference Table With a Personal Touch
There’s nothing we love more than a good collaboration!
Functional & Personal
We got the opportunity to create a custom conference table for Brianna Michelle Interior Design’s office! We get to partner up with Brianna from time to time to create custom pieces for her client’s and it’s always such an exciting collaboration, so we knew we wouldn’t want to miss out on getting to custom make a piece for her office!
The Plan
We got to work planning and laying the framework for the table .The plan was to make a table about thirteen feet long, that would be comprised of four different pieces. The four pieces will be made to look like two pieces when it’s all finished up. The assembly plan is a little complex and tedious so we’ll spare you the nitty gritty!
Concrete In Action
After laying down the groundwork, we sprayed on a thin layer of concrete that will later be polished and finished. Brianna came into the studio to check in on progress and add her own flair to the table! We picked out a good spot, and she added her handprint. We can’t wait to share the finished result, and we hope her personal connection to the piece will make for tons of productive and exciting days ahead.
Sweet Surrender
We have been loving collaborating on this piece and are so excited to finish it up for all the folks and Brianna Michelle Interior Design to enjoy! One of the main reasons we love working with concrete is the ability to create pieces with character and personality. Concrete is a profoundly personal medium. Beauty emerges out of something messy and uncertain and reminds us that sometimes it takes the courage to surrender to the mess to come out the other side with something genuine and heartfelt.
P.s. If you're looking for something for your office or business that's more than just a piece of furniture, something you can feel connected to and cherish, we'd love to hear from you and see how we can capture the heart of your business in one of our pieces.

Send something! You may not be able to run to the store to pick something out, but you can still send a sweet note, or some small treats (if you’re able to pick something up on your essential grocery trips). Maybe you’re not able to send a physical letter or package, but now would be a great time to send a gift card to someplace you know she loves. Before & After: Outdoor Kitchen Edition
Outdoor kitchen gets a facelift.
We helped give this outdoor kitchen a facelift!
We love doing outdoor kitchens! They’re one of those things we do often but genuinely never get sick of. Each one brings new challenges and opportunities and it’s always exciting to see an outdoor space totally transformed. When we got the call about this project we were stoked to dive in and get our hands dirty!
After checking out the starting point, we were stoked to get in there and work some magic! Alongside designer Dixhite Partners Landscape Architects and builders Winter Park Construction, we got to work on the transformation!
It was a blast getting to help transform this out door space! Let us know what you think of the transformation in the comments section!
Coordinated Concrete Pieces Provide Cohesion
It was a privilege getting to create multiple designs for our clients home! Check it out and let us know in the comments which piece is your favorite.
We love when we’re able to create multiple pieces for one project
TRICKY BUT WORTH IT
A little over twelve feet, and all in one piece, this island provided a few challenges, but ultimately was so worth it! The island featured a waterfall leg inset from the edge. It was tough to fit through the door, but after some maneuvering and lot’s of teamwork, we finished the install and the kitchen looked wonderful!
COORDINATE YOUR COUNTERTOPS
Monochrome outfits all all the rage right now, no one would have predicted that one day beige on beige would be featured on runways everywhere, but here we are. So we’re pushing for a new trend: the monochrome kitchen! With countertops in place to match the island, our client’s kitchen is ready for it’s close up.
WHY STOP AT THE KITCHEN?
We love this double-sink vanity we installed in our client’s bathroom! Having coordinated concrete elements throughout the house really creates a nice continuity. The style of the home flows easily from one room to the next, making the design look intentional and polished. We loved getting to do these pieces, and help our client make a statement!
